What a fun and meaning-filled night! On Friday, October 4th, the Rein in Sarcoma community celebrated with its annual Sunflower Soiree at the Metropolitan Ballroom in Golden Valley. With friends old and new, survivors/thrivors, families, caregivers, clinicians and allies gathered, it was a good time for all.
The evening was led by emcee and survivor Lisa Griebel who both moved and delighted the crowd, and keynote speaker Jen Pratt, a childhood sarcoma survivor who was motivated by her own sarcoma journey and clinical care to become a pediatrician walking the same halls in which she was treated. Along with celebrating as a community, Sunflower Soiree 2024 raised important funds for the Rein in Sarcoma Mission.
With record support from sponsors, including Great Clips, SpringWorks Therapeutics, the Ryan Family and BMO Bank of Montreal, and very popular auctions, in addition to being fun and meaningful, night was successful in providing the means for advancing the causes of sarcoma awareness, patient and family support, and research.
