Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in September is an important time to shed light on the challenges faced by young patients and their families. As a parent myself, this month is especially important to me. While sarcoma is considered a rare disease, it’s actually one of the top 5 most common cancers affecting children and young adults. And when it does strike children, it is devastating. Rein in Sarcoma aims to play a crucial role in supporting children with sarcoma cancers, providing resources and funding for better research and treatments. In fact, RIS has funded top notch sarcoma research at Children’s Minnesota every year and will continue to do so into the future. Raising awareness during this month helps to promote early detection, fund vital research, and support families as they navigate this difficult journey. Please join us in the fight against sarcoma so that children with this terrible disease have the best possible outcomes.
