Volunteer Position Descriptions
Detailed Descriptions
  • Adult Ring Toss: Manage ring toss, adult and minor beverages available. Encourage participation and maintain rules. Manage money collected and turn in to RIS designee. 
  • Children's Activities & Crafts: Set up, encourage participation, manage line, tear down.
  • Education Booth: Staff the RIS Education Booth. 
  • Inflatable Line Control: Line control, maintain safety and organization under the direction of inflatable staff.
  • Line Control for Airbursh & Balloon Artists: Line control, maintain safety and organization under the direction of Airbrush Tattoo artist. There will be at least 2 volunteers. You will have opportunity for a break.
  • Loading and Unloading: Load up supplies in Fridley and unload truck at Como Park. 
  • Packet Assembly: Stuff and organize alphabetically several days prior to the event at RIS office in Fridley.
  • Photographer: Take photos throughout the event. Shot list provided.
  • Picnic Helper: Serve as host, welcoming people, cleaning up, help carry meals, etc, keep drinks stocked from refrigerator.
  • Registration Assistant: Support check-in of party participants. Provide packet, name tag, etc. Give direction. 
  • Set Up: Set-up for events. Need to be able to lift 20-30 lbs. On your feet the entire shift. Able to move quickly. Set up will begin at 11:00 am.
  • Silent Auction Set Up: Assist with setup for the Silent Auction, begins 1:00 pm.
  • Silent Auction (during/after event): Facilitate, check out and clean up Silent Auction. 
  • Tear Down: Tear down event and clean up. Able to be on feet the entire shift. Lift 25-30lbs. Able to move quickly.
